I first met Rob when he was best man at a wedding I shot over at Harewood House for Sarah & Jiten, so when he got in touch to ask me about covering his and Gwen’s I knew it was going to be great. The ceremony was at Bolton Abbey, the ladies spent the morning getting ready just down the road at Devonshire Arms, with the guys over at the Craven Heifer just a little further on. It’s hard to know how everyone will feel the morning of the wedding but the girls were wonderfully calm and relaxed in preparation of the ceremony.
The ceremony in The Old Priory Church with the ruins of an Augustinian Priory at the rear, it’s a lovely spot next to the riverside. After the ceremony the unexpectedly beautiful weather meant most of the guests decided to grab an ice cream and take a nice stroll along the riverside onto the Devonshire Arms for a drinks reception and wedding Breakfast.
After a nice relaxed afternoon with games out on the lawn everyone retired for the wedding breakfast and speeches. The evening celebration continued afterwards with everyone out on the lawn enjoying some live music from family friend and master accordionist Martynas Lecvickis who pulled out some amazing covers in his distinctive style. When the light finally did drop everyone moved inside for plenty of dancing well into the evening.
