I had the pleasure of shooting Joe and Rosanna’s vineyard wedding at the end of summer, at the beautiful Denbies Estate in Dorking. I had met the couple before at Hannah and Dave’s wedding that I shot a couple of years ago, which always makes it super easy when you meet back up to shoot the day.
The couple chose to get ready in a hotel at the bottom of the steep Box Hill national trust site, before heading down the road to the St Barnabus church that sits on the North Downs National Trail. From the church you get a great view of the Denbies estate, the location for their vineyard wedding.
The ceremony kicked off and was a lovely service, the bride and groom leaving shortly after to head down to the Estate and meet their guests. Joe and Rosanna had the great idea of cutting the cake during the drinks reception which made for some happy guests, all of whom were taking full advantage of the photobooth and the plentiful English Sparkling Wine from the estate.
The guests were offered a tour of the vineyard, this was a great opportunity to sweep the couple away for some portraits in the vineyard greenery before the rain started. Soon after the guests returned and the couple joined everybody for the wedding breakfast. Filled with love, laughter and a pinch of humiliation for Joe the speeches went down a storm and everybody relaxed into the afternoon.
As the sun set and the party moved next door ready for the live band, more photobooth shots ensued and I got some great dance floor shots before I left them boozing the night away.
